It is traditional to bless candles to be used for prayer either in the home or at church, before the “Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple” taking place this Monday, February 2nd at 11:30 A.M.

Since the feast day is February 2nd, we will bless your candles this Sunday at the Altar.

Please bring candles from home this Sunday to be blessed at the Altar.

Bring candles from home that you will use for prayer, at the household altar, or as votives this Sunday. These are the candles that you use at dinner or prayer or whenever. Just be sure that they are tied together or in a box with your name on it.

Be sure that your name is on your collection of candles. Place them on the altar for a blessing after communion. After the service, they will be on the Altar for you to pick up.

“Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple” mass will take place in the Lady Chapel on Monday, February 2nd at 11:30 A.M.
