“Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple” mass will take place in the Lady Chapel on Monday, February 2nd at 11:30 A.M.

Read Luke 2:22-40, the story of our Lord's presentation in the temple (as well as Mary's purification). For background, read Leviticus 12 and Exodus 13. Note the relationship between setting apart the firstborn and Passover. Vatican Read has a good synopsis of the feast day. The Feast is the end of the 40-days cycle of Christmas. (If you haven't already, now is the time to take down your Christmas decorations.) At home, make crêpes or have a tamale feast.
